Sociology Students Featured in the 2025 Undergraduate Research Exhibition

Seniors Jordan Keene and Amanda Kahlenberg are featured in the 2025 Undergraduate Research Exhibition. The Cross-Disciplinary Undergraduate Research Exhibition brings together research done by undergraduates across the departments of Georgetown University. Students’ research projects are nominated by faculty and are displayed in the Gelardin Center and in an online exhibition. This year, two Sociology students were featured. We spoke to them to learn more about what developed their interests in Sociology and their research topics.

Amanda Kahlenberg chose her thesis topic due to her interest in learning more about the patient–provider interaction from a sociological perspective. She specifically wanted to look at the role of gender in shaping these interactions.
