In Memoriam: William “Bill” Daddio
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Professor William “Bill” Daddio. Professor Daddio was a fixture in the Department of Sociology at Georgetown, where he served as an adjunct for more than 45 years. With a background in security and law enforcement for the federal government (a former associate director of the U.S. Mint), he taught classes on topics including terrorism, cybersecurity, international crime, and criminology broadly. Professor Daddio brought a wealth of professional experience and master storytelling skills to his courses, which remained popular among Georgetown students over the course of his long teaching career. He was a beloved professor and colleague and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
