The Department of Sociology Hosts Alumni for a Career Panel

On October 28, 2025, the Department of Sociology hosted recent alumni for “From Major to Career: Alumni Pathways”. The panel consisted of Iyanda Channer-Newman (C’22), Financial Representative, Northwestern Mutua, Erin Farrell (C’24), UPenn Teaching Fellow, History & Teacher at The Lawrenceville School, and David McDaniels (C’23), Analyst, Office of D.C. Auditor.

Sociology students were able to learn how Sociology opens doors in law, public health, business, education, and beyond. The panel provided them with an opportunity to network with alumni & peers, and get real advice on positioning themselves for success in the job market.
