Coakley Medal
The Coakley Medal
Founded in memory of “Hank” Coakley, 1941, Lieutenant, United States Army Air Force, who died in the service of his country in World War Two, the Coakley Medal is the gift of his wife, through the Henry Beckman Coakley Foundation. The medal was founded to encourage and reward leadership and to keep alive Hank’s great love for Georgetown. This medal is presented annually to the member of the Senior class who, in the opinion of the faculty, manifested, above all others, the qualities of loving service, honor and courage in all phases of his or her college life.
